Motionless In White Wrap Up Seventh Studio Album
Scranton metalcore outfit Motionless In White have finished work on their seventh studio album. Frontman Chris 'Motionless' Cerulli updated his X bio to read 'no longer working on the next @miwband album,' confirming the LP is complete. The follow-up to 2022's Scoring The End Of The World was preceded by lead single 'Afraid Of The Dark,' released January 28 via Roadrunner Records and the band's first song to reach number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Cerulli has confirmed the next single will be a sequel song to 'Afraid Of The Dark.'
Social Distortion Return with Born To Kill, First Album in Over a Decade
Orange County punk legends Social Distortion release Born To Kill, their eighth studio album, on May 8 via Epitaph Records. It is the band's first new full-length since 2011's Hard Times And Nursery Rhymes. The hard-charging title track, which has been part of the band's live set for several months, is out now alongside an official video. Frontman Mike Ness has said the band intends to follow up with another album in a more timely manner.
Dogstar Announce Fourth Album All In Now, Out May 29
Los Angeles alt-rock trio Dogstar, featuring actor Keanu Reeves on bass alongside vocalist/guitarist Bret Domrose and drummer Rob Mailhouse, will release their fourth studio album, All In Now, on May 29 via the band's own Dillon Street Records. Produced by Nick Launay (IDLES, Amyl And The Sniffers, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds), it is the follow-up to 2023's Somewhere Between The Power Lines And Palm Trees, the band's first record after a two-decade hiatus. The title track and a U.S. summer tour have also been announced.
Europe Announce Come This Madness, First Album in Nine Years
Swedish hard rockers Europe have announced their twelfth studio album, Come This Madness, due September 25 via Silver Lining Music and Hell & Back Recordings. It is the band's first new record since 2017's Walk The Earth. The classic lineup of Joey Tempest, John Norum, John Leven, Mic Michaeli, and Ian Haugland is intact. Lead single and video 'One On One' arrived alongside the announcement.
